This position is responsible for supporting subcontract business managers in the administration and management of subcontracts helping ensure that awards are compliant with FAR/DFAR regulations. The incumbent will be the general POC for subcontract communications between business units and suppliers. Primary responsibilities include tracking subcontractor data, maintain Excel database reports, write purchase order justifications, reconcile subcontractor invoices and assist with subcontract closeout.
Position Summary:
Manages strategic procurements - processing requisitions, creating PO packages and tracking spend vs. savings for the assigned commodity. Reviews subcontract documentation for completeness and proper authorization. Complies and tracks performance data to ensure specific milestones are meant. Assists with cost analysis, price analysis and technical assessments. Assists in market trend analysis and new supplier development efforts. Participants in continuous improvement events internally and externally with strategic suppliers. Assists subcontract managers in day-to-day activities.
Requirements:
BS Degree in related field with at least 5 years general business experience and at least 2 years Buying experience. The ability to multitask in a fast paced business environment. The ability to manage moderately complex to complex services and/or development subcontracts, and follow-on subcontracts. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to work with all levels of associates to achieve program success. Proficiency is required in word processing, electronic spreadsheet, data systems, analysis techniques, Oracle/SAP and workstation tools. Ability to apply sound judgment to problem solving and strategy development. Ability to develop strong professional relationships with internal and external customer. Exceptional organization skills, verbal and written communication skills. Previous ERP Experience.
